The plants of this species that grow along the path are Citron Pomaderris, also called Lemon or Yellow Dogwood.  They flower in September and October and grow in south-eastern Australia.  It is a shrub with hairy stems, elliptic to egg-shaped leaves, and clusters of yellow flowers.
